General Info

Leaders / Counselors: it is recommended that each group bring at least one female counselor for every 7 girls and one male counselor for every 7 guys. It is the responsibility of each group to provide adequate supervision. All counselors should be at least 19 years of age. Leaders and sponsors are responsible for the behavior of their youth and should know where they are at all times. Groups should sit together if possible and sponsors should sit with their youth when dispersed through the crowd. See "reserved seating" for further info.

Historymaker Hosts: will be there during the General Session to assist in seating, keeping aisles clear and making sure that Historymaker 2010 is safe and enjoyable for everyone. Please feel free to ask them for assistance and respect them by abiding by their instructions.

Reserved Seating: Groups that register 50 or more will be given the option of having a pre-determined section of the arena reserved throughout the weekend. If this is applicable to your situation check the appropriate spot on the registration form. These pre-determined sections may not be necessarily preferred seats.

Standards and Guidelines: As leaders at HM 2010, it is very important that you and your group are aware of the rules and regulations. Please communicate these guidelines to your group. There will be an onsite security team. They will require your cooperation to make the convention run smoothly.

Arena Area Courtesy: Out of courtesy to other Historymaker registrants, we ask that you refrain from speaking loudly or participating in activities that may be disruptive during speaking or concert sessions. We will have Historymaker hosts and Security on duty during these times to keep distractions to a minimum. Any person, who is seen exhibiting behavior dangerous to themselves, or to others, will be removed from the facility. The Arena is used for the sole purpose of participating in general sessions and speaking sessions. This area is not to be used for recreational purposes directly prior to, or during any scheduled Historymaker event.
*Please do not bring any outside food into the arena.

Exhibit Booths: Many organizations host booths on the Historymaker weekend. We reserve the right to reject any exhibitor, item or literature. (Note: The only organizations allowed to distribute materials are those operating booths. No other material is to be distributed, sold, or posted on the grounds or parking areas unless cleared by the Historymaker Office prior to Historymaker 2010.) If you are interested in obtaining information on fees and guidelines for hosting a booth at the event, contact our office 604.533.7245 or visit our partners page.

Dress modestly: and consideration of others is the underlying principle here. This goes for all areas of behavior. Guys are to wear pants or shorts of reasonable length, and shirts or T-shirts. Girls are to wear pants or shorts of reasonable length, and T-shirts (no tube, halter, or low cut tops). Please have your group members bring APPROPRIATE clothing. Many varied Christian backgrounds are represented at this event. You will want your group to be a blessing rather than a stumbling block.

First Aid: Trained First Aid staff will be on-site to handle medical problems throughout the weekend.   Should you or your group require assistance throughout the weekend-please contact one of our trained First Aid staff available onsite.

Safety: Historymaker 2010 is held on private property, we will enforce our policies for the safety of all attendees. Firearms, weapons (fake or otherwise), paint ball guns, alcohol and drugs will not be allowed, at any time. All offenders will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. For obvious reasons, bikes, roller-skates, roller blades, skateboards, water balloons, and related devices are not allowed in the arena. Hacky sack and other related activities must be kept outside. For the safety of others attending, violation could result in confiscation of property and/or individuals being asked to leave the grounds.

Security: The grounds are patrolled by both the R.C.M.Police and the Historymaker 2010 security team. It is our desire to maintain the highest level of ethics and standards in relationship to conduct during the event. Our guidelines are set for the benefit of everyone who attends. All Historymaker participants are expected to cooperate with our policies, staff and security. Failure to work in cooperation with personnel could result in individuals being asked to leave the event

Parking: There will be parking volunteers there to direct you. There will specific parking areas for Buses and Coaches please ensure you follow the signs and the direction of the volunteers and only park in designated areas.

Outside Food and Beverage: Apart from water bottles, and other small consumables, other food and beverage items (ie. McDonald's, Wendy's, etc) may not be brought into the arena area.  Concession outlets will be available throughout the weekend.

Video Taping Video: camcorders and/or recorders will not be allowed into the arena during General Sessions and Concerts. Contractual and copyright restrictions prevent the recording of concerts and musical portions of sessions at Historymaker. Next Generation Ministries and Historymaker are obligated to enforce these policies.
