Over 90% of American's own a bible and 2/3rd of people, christian and not, want to read their bible more but less than 15% will engage with the bible more than once a month, 27% wont touch it on their own in a year. The problem isn't motivating people to read their bibles, but equipping them with the basic tools and knowledge needed to dig in the word. We too often tell people to dig but never give them the shovel.Students will learn what the bible is and the basic tools needed to dig into scriptures and bring life to the living word.

You'll learn what the Bible says about hearing God's voice, how Jesus heard his Father, how the disciples heard the Holy Spirit and what they taught us to hear the voice of God. You'll learn how to practically hear God's voice and see that He is real and alive today through dialoguing with His children, and so much more.

How many times have we heard that as good Christians or good kids that we shouldn’t play something?  Don’t play that game—it’s too violent!  Don’t play that song—it’s got too much swearing!  Don’t play that show—it’s too explicit!  And yet, the apostle Paul says “For the Christian, everything is permissible.”  What does that mean?  How should Christians approach entertainment and media?  Trinity Western University video game scholar Kevin Schut is going to talk about faithfully engaging our culture, both as consumers and producers.

Reaching your friends can be intimidating, especially when you don't know where to start. Faith is a journey and everyone is at a different place, making their next step different. Students will learn how to identify where their friends are on their faith journey; whether that be agnostic, new believer, or a passionate follower, and help them take the next step in their faith journey towards Christ. Just because some blades may be duller than others, Iron can still sharpen Iron.

7.0 HOW TO PRAY FOR HEALING // Small Gym

You'll learn what the Bible says about healing, how Jesus healed the sick, how the disciples healed the sick and what they taught us to do about healing. You'll learn how to practically heal the sick and pray for healing. You'll pray and see and feel Jesus heal the sick. Pain will disappear, legs grow, arms grow, spines realign and so much more.

Your role as a trusted youth worker often means you're the first responder when life spins out of control for a teen. Having an effective approach for responding to the boiling points of mental health crisis, addiction, harmful relationships and unexpected trauma is something that you'll fall back on time and time again. In this workshop we'll provide a framework you can use to respond to students dealing with some of life's hardest issues and provide links to key resources that will empower you beyond this weekend.

Even though culture seems like it's moving away from the gospel that doesn't mean people are destined to follow. We are the church and our responsibility is to the lost. We're taking a deep dive into the life of John the Baptist and asking how can God use you to introduce people to Jesus?

It's no longer rare to see young adults and teenagers "burn out" before the age of 21 in school, in ministry and in their relationships. In this seminar, we'll look at the practical steps you can take to safeguard your mental health and your heart from the dangers of burnout, and learn some recovery steps if you're already dangerously close to that edge. Tap into God's rest, peace and restoration in a world that is always asking for more.
